Once word gets around, no one's going to sign their life away for a sheckle to guard a cursed place where they're likely to die within 3 months. ![]() I bought the best protection available (fully upgraded defenses, optimal number of fighters, best equipment, even protection from one of the dragon factions) and I was suffering up to 30% casualties every 30 days, which I then had to manually replace over and over and over with the annoying interface that only lets you choose increments of 1 or 5. But the repeatable content with the outpost gets old fast. This isn't TOO bad, since at least you have a way out with the faction rep. Every upgrade requires escalating amounts of building materials, which you can ferry there yourself or buy with hefty amounts of faction reputation. The problem is this high barrier of entry means most players won't even start the outpost until very late in the game, when most of the content has been exhausted. Just buying the property requires 6000 silver: a ridiculously high amount in a game where 1000 silver will buy you everything else you'll ever need. The Outpost is meant as a money sink to test your revenue generating ability. As the number of non-repeatable quests dwindled, there was one chain that remained: the Wealth victory and the Outpost required to achieve it. 1.1501117g.I was having a great time with the game as I went through the many, many quests the game has to offer.
